To: the world in general and the Movie-Industry in particular

You're not seriously writing Scott Pilgrim vs The World off as a Flop yet, are you?
Because it "only" made 11 milion on the opening weekend.
Granny would have to knit quite a lot for that kind of money.
This was one weekend. In the USA.
It's not over yet. There are many more weeks to come(and many more countries for that matter).
It went out with the Expendables and Eat, Pray, Love(or what it's called).
Not exactly tough competition in my eyes.
A bunch of old man, though I will admit I fancy Jet Li and that Jason Statham is not to be sneezed at. He's a tough guy, he'd sneeze back.
And Julia Roberts. What does she even do? she smiles a lot with those perfect pearly-white teeth and gets a few milion dollars for that, well.
Why anyone would want to see either is beyond me.
While with Scott Pilgrim, I've been excited for many months.
I felt it would never be released and time was actually moving slower the closer the opening date drew near.
It kept getting worse, because(being the clever man he is) Edgar Wright supplied the eagerly waiting fans with little bits and bobs(like photos). Totally worked.
These were of course nothing compared to the trailers, which were the essence of awesomeness and seeked to be watched more than once(and they were).
Something I shall not forget nor forgive swiftly though, is where he messed up utterly.
When is the Germany release for "Scott Pilgrim vs The World"? do I hear January 6th, 2011 ? yes, I do, thanks internet movie database.
What were you thinking, being awesome and not sharing the awesomeness?. I'm offended.
I hope to see it, when I go to Ireland, but seriously: next year?
It was bad enough when the release was in November and then you postpone it?
How on earth is that going to work?
Will the DVD be available in the US for Christmas?
So if I were to import it, I'd actually get to see it legally before the official release?
wait, what?
Not that I'd want to see the german version.
They always mess up the voices in the dub. (I'm looking at you, person responsible for the dub of Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz: You fail. Badly. Please quit immediately and start a job in medicine. You couldn't possibly mess that up more than your current job.)
I'm firmly holding to the belief, that Scott Pilgrim vs The World is awesome. The only thing that could make me change my mind is the actual movie.
Let's hope it doesn't.

P.S.: Can anyone find out which movie has been watched online(illegally) the most? cause I have this weird feeling (believe it or not) that it's not going to be Mrs White-Teeth or those Tough Nuts from the old people's home.
